Available Positions:

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Yacht Captain to join our team. The Yacht Captain will be responsible for safely operating our vessels, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, and upholding the highest standards of maritime safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maneuver the yacht in various weather and sea conditions.
  • Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and vessels at all times.
  • Navigate using charts, radar, and other navigation equipment.
  • Oversee and manage the crew, including assigning duties and responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers, crew, and shore personnel.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the yacht, both on deck and below deck.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Report directly to the Company Operations Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Master Mariner <60 T or Master Mariner <150T, PCOC, SVOP, MEDA3, Class 1 Medical, VHF-R, 2-day Marine First Aid Certificate. Toronto Yachts will sponsor and provide the above training in whole or in part depending on the Candidates prior yachting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a yacht captain.
  • Strong knowledge of navigation, seamanship, and safety procedures in Toronto Harbour..
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in changing conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to undergo and successfully pass Toronto Yachts’ specialized Company Operations Manual, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Management System trainings. This training may be provided to you through our head of sea operations or through on-the-job experience.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Yacht Attendant to join our team. The Yacht Attendant will play a key role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests as they board the yacht and provide a warm welcome.
  • Assist guests with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Attend to guests’ needs throughout the charter, including serving food and beverages, providing information about points of interest, and accommodating special requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization on the yacht, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and ensuring that all areas are presentable.
  • Monitor guest activity and behavior to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Assist with docking and undocking procedures under the direction of the Captain.
  • Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other crew members to ensure smooth operation of the charter.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of boating and safety procedures is a plus.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated individuals to join our crew as Chief Mate or Deckhand. These positions play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and seamanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Captain in safely operating and maneuvering the yacht in various weather and sea conditions.
  • Perform deck duties such as line handling, docking, anchoring, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the vessel.
  • Monitor and maintain safety equipment, including lifeboats, life jackets, and firefighting equipment.
  • Assist with navigation tasks, including chart reading, plotting courses, and using navigation instruments.
  • Supervise and train other deck crew members as needed.
  • Assist with guest services, including greeting guests, providing information, and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action as needed, following established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications for Chief Mate:

  • Valid Deck Officer certification issued by Transport canada.
  • Previous experience as a Chief Mate or Deck Officer on a similar vessel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Thorough understanding of navigation, seamanship, and safety procedures.
  • Medical fitness to meet the requirements of the position.

Qualifications for Deckhand:

  • Basic maritime training certificates, such as STCW Basic Safety Training (preferred).
  • Previous experience working on boats or vessels (preferred).
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in a maritime environment.
  • Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

 

 

Position Overview:

e are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Manager and Administrator. This role will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office and administrative functions, supporting both our onshore and offshore operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily office operations, including managing schedules, appointments, and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient communication and workflow.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, including ordering supplies and coordinating repairs.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with human resources tasks such as employee onboarding, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Support management with special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in office management, administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision, preferences, and requirements.
  • Develop and present event proposals, including venue options, catering menus, entertainment options, and decor concepts.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue setup, catering arrangements, entertainment bookings, transportation, and guest accommodations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure events are executed within scope and on schedule.
  • Oversee event execution on the day of the event, including coordinating vendor setup, managing event staff, and addressing any last-minute issues or changes.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for future events.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in event planning software and tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
